CLUB PAST EVENTS 2016 – 2018

KILCLOON CREDIT UNION SUPPORTS KILCOCK CANOE POLO TEAM 2018:

A busy year continues at Kilcock Canoe Polo Club and the club continues to grow now that we are back in the Harbour, and celebrating 20 years as a club.

We are delighted to announce team sponsorship from Kilcloon Credit Union 
The Credit Union have been generous sponsors and supporters of the club and its members over the years, and we are again grateful to have them with us this year.

Canoe Polo is a great spectator sport, so come along and watch some Canoe Polo action in Kilcock Harbour.

KILCOCK JUNIOR COMPETITION 2018:

Something to do on Saturday in Kilcock !

This weekend sees the return of the National Junior Canoe Polo competition to Kilcock Harbour on Saturday 30th June.

Players from Ireland North and South will converge on the town for a days competition in the Harbour.

The action will start at 10am and continue until 5pm.

 

Junior Players at all levels will be showing their skill in this fast moving and exciting game. The competition will feature teams in under 19, under 16, under 14 and under 12 divisions.

Well worth coming along and watching the action !

The event is kindly supported by our partners Kildare County Council and Waterways Ireland.

LONDON COMPETITION

Two Ireland Development Teams travelled to London on 25th and 26th July. Kilcock Club Members who were part of this Development Team were:
Meabh Glennon
Niamh Saunders
Sinead MacDonald
Harriet McDermott
Amy Gill
Ciara Saunders

It was a great experience for them as it was their first foreign competition. All have their sights on the Ladies Under 21 at the European Championships in Italy in 2017.

 

IRISH OPEN 2017

Congratulations to Kilcock Demons are are Irish Open Division 1 Champions for 2017.

We hosted this years competition.   There were over 230 players and another 100 coaches and supporters from 33 teams including  6 from GB and 7 from Northern Ireland.    Its a national event organised by Kilcock on behalf of Canoeing Ireland/National Canoe Polo Committee and has rotated between Enniskillen, Galway, Longford for the last 10 years, so it was really great to see it back in Kilcock.  

Kilcock had 6 teams entered in this years competition, and our teams were kindly sponsored by Kilcloon Credit Union.  

The competition really was a great success, a lovely atmosphere in the town, and all 4 pitches on both sides of the bridge were buzzing all weekend. 

 

ENNISKILLEN 2016

KCPC went to the Junior Competition in Enniskillen 6th August and had a fabulous time. It is a great venue and the good weather only added to everyone’s enjoyment!
